Doctor of Metaphysics

Study of the basic advanced principles of metaphysical or spiritual truth. The purpose of this course is to present basic metaphysical laws and offer safe, practical methods for their use. This is an introductory course that is a guide for further study.

 


 

Doctor of Divinity

The study of G-d; theology. The Doctor of Divinity curriculum is designed to offer training for the pastoral ministry. The Divinity course includes the basic structure and content of each book of the Bible along with such details concerning major character, dates, and places as are necessary. Principles of hermeneutics and exegesis are also included. Students learn to apply scripture to contemporary circumstances.

 


 

Doctor of Biblical Studies

(literature) - Old and New Testament; the study of biblical literature along with biblical history. The study of the Bible from the point of view of spiritual interpretation. It allows one to study the symbolism of the Bible.

 


 

Doctor of Theocentric Business and Ethics

A study of religious values and their influence on social and individual behavior as related to modern business dealings. It inlcudes the study on metaphysics in that it deals with the spiritual laws and shows that if one understands and correctly applies them, success in everything will follow. Special emphasis is placed on the development of theocentric values and their application of these values to everyday life. This course is not to be confused with a secular business course.

 


 

Doctor of Comparative Religion

Study of comparative religions. The study of the history of religion from the earliest of times to the cults; and a comparison of the two. The object of the study is to find the basic truth upon which every religion is founded.

 


 

Doctor of Pastoral Administration

Study for those who are preparing to be leaders of a congregation. It deals with the organization and administration of the congregation, and such diverse duties as preparation of a lecture or sermon to managing public relations.

 


 

Doctor of Religious Counseling

Study of the family from the metaphysical or spiritual perspective. The study of the pastoral practice of counseling. This also includes the study of the dynamic principals of personality adjustment and maladjustment as they apply to the work of the pastor. This course is designed for those who want to serve in pastoral counseling and for those who seek ministerial opportunities in counseling. Since licensing laws for counseling currently vary from state to state, individuals are encouraged to contact their state governmental agency regarding licensure requirements. This course is not similar to that which is taught in non-religious schools.

 


 

Doctor of Religious Education

Presents an overview of the function and place of education in the local religious organization, summarizing the biblical, theological, historical and philosophical foundations, as well as the basic objectives of theocentric education. The course examines the materials and methods of religious teaching.
